Where do we find the next Superman?

Where do we find Superman?  Our next president is going to be the most important person we have ever elected.  The Country is in shambles compared to the recovery of the 80’s.  For some reason our present administration seems to think that by constantly adding to the free services of the government they will somehow pull this country out of its doldrums.  Americans are a special breed they thrive on self achievement and hate to be force fed.  Americans are the result of many things none of which involved government welfare.  Americans came from many countries and melded their traditions and talents into one great society.  They suffered through two World Wars, Korea and Vietnam as well as Afghanistan, Iraq and now Afghanistan again.  The 1st & 2nd generation of most American families worked their way through the Great Depression with an I will survive attitude and they did it without help from any safety net.  They subsequently came out of this with an I can do whatever it takes to feed and clothe my family attitude.  Sorry to say most of this generation has passed on and left us with a generation that has been coddled and cared for their whole lives.  How can we expect this generation to rebuild America into a World Power again when all they seem to want is more government services?

Thank God there are still some good families who taught their children right from wrong and instilled pride in self accomplishment.  These are going to have to be our new leaders as this country can’t take more of the same socialist theories of cradle to the grave care.  We have gone from the shining light on the hill for all others to desire and dream of to the Soup Kitchen mentality of whose bringing me my next meal.  The men and women who built America built it upon a dream of freedom and free enterprise.  No one gave them a stimulus to start out with the exception of real opportunity and the freedom to go forth and succeed.  As the years have gone by the one thing that our Fore Fathers worried about has come to be and that is excessive power in government.  The entrepreneur  is now throttled with over regulation, over taxation and fee’s that would choke the old timers to death.  Small business is barely hanging on now we are taxing their last bit of strength with Obama Care.  70% of Americans are employed by what is considered small business.  These businesses are run by families who legitimately care for their employees and during these times many go without profit just to keep their employee’s working, just hoping that by some miracle it will all turn around again.

I remember when Romney said in a closed meeting that 47% of the people will never vote for him because they are addicted to subsidies and government handouts.  You know what he was right, about 47% of the people are receiving government monies or they are working because of the massive expansion of government.   Those of us who still pay our own way are also paying the way for those who have fallen into this abyss.   As our numbers grow fewer our percentage of participation will have to go up in order to support this massive exodus from the workforce the only way this type of government can survive is with total control of your lives, from what you eat to the type of work you will be expected to perform to help the State support you.  We all know how well Eastern Bloc countries did with this form of government.

Like I said where will we find Superman?  Someone from our midst must step out and lead this country back to its basics and relight the fires of self determination that we were all born with.  Beware of the charlatans that make promises that are too good to be true.  We need to find someone with a proven track record of achievement who is capable of leading not another Hope and Change narcissist  who can only campaign not lead.  Gee, didn’t we have that available  in the last election?

Happy Birthday President Reagan

To me this is a very important day in American history.  For a brief period in this country we had a leader that was not only a true patriot but out of the entire world he was the most respected American President in our modern history.  Some will say it was out of fear that many world leaders came to his side but I say the only fear came from those who opposed freedom.  Ronald Reagan would be 102 today and had he lived with a clear mind would still be the one man that could make sense out of what is happening to our country.  Happy Birthday President Reagan, I sincerely hope your reward in heaven is a great one.  You gave America dignity and hope along with great prosperity, God Bless You.

A message for SeaHawk fans

I know my audience with this blog is limited but together we can make this viral.  Being a Seattle SeaHawk fan I wagered a little on the game.  Not being a gambler it was just $100 that paid $215.  I propose that all those Seattle fans who won on the game take a portion of their windfall and donate it to the Shriner’s Hostpital for Children.  Let’s show how generous Seattle fans are.   Just let the charity know that this is from your winnings.  Tell them Go Hawks! I hope that the Shriner's will let us know how much we can raise.  I’m pledging ½ my winnings.  Now do your part and forward this to as many as possible and see if the SeaHawk fans are as good a bunch of Americans as I think they are.

PLEASE KEEP THIS GOING

How did we get here?

How did we get here?  In the Revolutionary War Nathan Hale said "give me liberty or give me death".  In the Civil War brother against brother fought either to free the Slaves or for States rights depending on what side you were on. In WWI and WWII we fought to rid the world of dictators and madmen who wanted to control Europe and beyond.  Today we are fighting for our own salvation against radical religious zealots who want to control the world and bring it back to the mid-evil period.

I bring these things up because I ask the question; why would we choose now to decrease our military?  Why would we now decide to capitulate our gains in Afghanistan and Iraq and allow these murderers a chance to rebuild their forces.  Americans are being misunderstood when it comes to war.  We have the technology to win in the Middle East we just don't have the leadership that has confidence in our abilities.  Yes we are tired of war but mainly we are tired of losing when we are forced to play under rules of engagement that favor the bad guys.  Our fighting men should never be put under the control of nations other than our own.  War is an evil thing brought on by evil malicious people.  The war we are in now is the oldest war in recorded history and started around 1096.  We cannot win this war by isolating ourselves and pretending 9/11 can't happen again.  We have to be proactive in our approach and keep these animals locked up.  We are constantly warned about collateral damage to civilian areas yet those civilians house and hide our enemy.  In some cases we are not allowed to return fire in a residential district as to avoid so called civilian casualties.  This method of operation has caused many casualties on our side.

I believe we should pull all of our troops out of the area if we don't intend to win.  The NSA that has been so great in watching Americans and our closest allies should aim their focus on the Middle East together with 24 hour surveillance by armed drones we can cause enough chaos in the region that the so called civilians will force the insurgents out.  Never again should we allow anyone to send our troops into harm's way without giving them the Rules of Engagement that will allow them to protect themselves and with a plan for total victory.  A war cannot be fought in the polls, when a politician decides a war is over the outcome usually is in question.  Take a look at Korea for example, a political war that has never ended except for the brave men and women who gave their lives.
