The Injustice of Justice

My heart goes out to the Steinle family tonight.  Their daughter Kate died cruelly in her fathers arms the result of stupid man with a gun.  In San Francisco a jury has acquitted the illegal alien who fired that gun carelessly on a pier, as Kate and her father walked happily enjoying a beautiful San Francisco Summer day.  The man who fired the stolen gun should have been on his way to the border for deportation but because of the sanctuary city rule enforce in S.F. he had been released before Federal Agents could retrieve him.  This is a man with 7 felony convictions here in the U.S.A. and had been deported 5 times previously.  He had been in jail on a drug charge and the Fed’s had asked for the Sheriff’s Department to hold him for pick up and deportation.  Instead of following Federal law and holding the man they followed San Francisco sanctuary rules and set him free.  He had a gun he said he found that had been stolen from Park Service Officers car.  At first he told police he was shooting at Harbor Seals then after Lawyered up he changed his story, he said he found the gun under a bench on the pier and when he picked it up it fired.  The bullet ricocheted off one of the pillars and struck young Kate in the back fatally wounding her.  Her last words to her father were “help me Dad” as she died in his arms.  Had this been a citizen of this country that fired the shot we would have been charged minimally with 2^nd degree murder or at the least manslaughter.  The government and people of San Francisco have become so progressive that they feel they are not required to follow the immigration laws of the country.  The jury deliberated over 30 hours I’m sure badgering those who wanted justice until they gave in.  Far left Liberal policies to be sure are now the rule in S.F. and I feel it has become an unsafe place to visit.  Maybe if tourism slows they will realize how crazy this path they have embarked on is.  The entire government of California has now declared itself a Sanctuary State maybe we should just close the border to the real United States and let them stew in their own mess.  We don’t need to feed them anymore Government grants let them take care of their education and tax themselves into oblivion in order to survive.  They can keep the 9^th district court of appeals too.  Businesses have been fleeing California for the last several years because of the high cost of doing business, eventually the only jobs that will be available will be in the government and we know that doesn’t produce an income for the State.  I know none of this will happen but I’m just totally disgusted with the system of justice and what it has done to the Steinle’s and what it has done to our beautiful country. 

Politicians have forgotten how to think for themselves.

One can only come to the conclusion that to be a politician in today's messed up world you would have to sell your soul to your party. I really don't believe that every democrat is lock step with their leaders nor do I believe that every republican is loyal to their party yet they seem to follow that theory in their voting. What ever happened to our country, how could our politics evolve into such controlled thought. Where are the Scoop Jacksons and the Tip O'neal's hiding... their heads. They surely must be rolling in their graves at such a spectacle in our Congress. The people are just pawns in today's chess game of politics. I for one am disgusted with the process, the Elites in both parties wonder how this election went the way it did, I think they should look in the mirror and take stock of their man or womanhood. Not one of them is capable of thinking for themselves, if they were we would have non partisan voting in many of the items before the Senate and House. We might as well just have the Leaders vote and forget that we have so call representation for the people

Subject:Fwd: An article from the New York Post: There's a reason why in New York Harbor we have the Statue of Liberty,  not the Statue of Equality." �����Max�����  An article from the New York Post:  I do not understand how living in a country with its democracy established over 200 years ago, and now, for the first time in history, suddenly we have one of our former presidents set up a group called "Organizing for Action" (OFA).  OFA is 30,000+ strong and working to disrupt everything that our current president's administration is trying to do. This organization goes against our Democracy, and it is an operation that will destroy our way of governing. It goes against our Constitution, our laws, and the processes established over 200 years ago. If it is allowed to proceed then we will be living in chaos very much like third world countries are run. What good is it to have an established government if it is not going to be respected and allowed to follow our laws?  If you had an army some 30,000 strong and a court system stacked over the decades with judges who would allow you to break the laws, how much damage could you do to a country? We are about to find out in America!  Our ex-president said he was going to stay involved through community organizing and speak out on the issues and that appears to be one post-administration promise he intends to keep. He has moved many of his administration's top dogs over to Organizing for Action.  OFA is behind the strategic and tactical implementation of the resistance to the Trump Administration that we are seeing across America, and politically active courts are providing the leverage for this revolution.  OFA is dedicated to organizing communities for "progressive" change. Its issues are gun control, socialist healthcare, abortion, sexual equality, climate change, and of course, immigration reform.   OFA members were propped up by the ex-president's message from the shadows: "Organizing is the building block of everything great we have accomplished Organizers around the country are fighting for change in their communities and OFA is one of the groups on the front lines..... Commit to this work in 2017 and beyond."  OFA's website says it obtained its "digital" assets from the ex-president's re-election effort and that he inspired the movement. In short, it is the shadow government organization aimed at resisting and tearing down the Constitutional Republic we know as AMERICA.  Paul Sperry, writing for the New York Post, says, "The OFA will fight President Donald Trump at every turn of his presidency and the ex-president will command them from a bunker less than two miles from the White House."  Sperry writes that, "The ex-president is setting up a shadow government to sabotage the Trump administration through a network of non-profits led by OFA, which is growing its war chest (more than $40 million) and has some 250 offices nationwide. The OFA IRS filings, according to Sperry, indicate that the OFA has 32,525 (and growing) volunteers nationwide. The ex-president and his wife will oversee the operation from their home/ office in Washington DC.  Think about how this works.. For example: Trump issues an immigration executive order; the OFA signals for protests and statements from pro-immigrant groups; the ACLU lawyers file lawsuits in jurisdictions where activist judges obstruct the laws; volunteers are called to protest at airports and Congressional town hall meetings; the leftist media springs to action in support of these activities; the twitter sphere lights up with social media; and violence follows. All of this happens from the ex-president's signal that he is heartened by the protests.  If Barack Obama did not do enough to destroy this country in the 8 years he was in office, it appears his future plans are to destroy the foundation on which this country has operated on for the last 241 years.  If this does not scare you, then we are in worse trouble than you know.  So, do your part. You have read it, so at least pass this on so others will know what we are up against. We are losing our country and we are so compliant. Every year on Veterans Day many of us sit back and remember those we served with. Good times or bad these people became our brothers and sisters for life. We may not see them for years yet you can depend on the fact that their memories are entwined with your own forever. Life is full of experiences many good and just as many bad but they all make up our character-defining who we are. When I hear things like what happened in Southerland Texas and the first explanation was he was a Veteran it makes my skin crawl. I’ve heard politicians remark that Vet’s are the most likely to become anarchists and anti-government radicals because of our training and the experiences of so many that involve violence. To the contrary I say, Vet’s are the least likely to ever take up arms other than the defense of their family and friends. Of course there are always a few like the creep in Texas who are mentally unfit to serve and just like the poor gun it suddenly makes all Veterans suspect. I guaranty you a Veteran is the first one that will stop to help someone hurt in an accident or to stand with others to protest a wrong. The Veteran is the guy who lives next door and is always there when you need a friend, he’s the guy or girl that people can depend on when others fail them. To most Veterans our flag and our anthem is part of their existence they pledged their lives to defend that flag and our Constitution so when you poke the Bear by disrespecting these things you can expect the anger and backlash it creates. Give a salute to our Veterans they are the ones what gave you the right to live your lives in freedom and even when you do things like disrespecting our country and our government.

May this Veterans day be the beginning of a sea change that brings our country together, the hate needs to disappear and our American can-do spirit needs to rise up and be a positive in our lives. I don’t care if you are Black, White or Purple, Democrat, Libertarian or Republican this is your country be the one that builds on the future not the negative. God Bless America!

Why do we have to live with such hate?

When people ask why things like the Texas church shooting happens first they look for ideology, weapons or mental illness.  In my mind the reason starts with the hate that has been prevalent in our society for the last 10 years.  The Alt Left and the Alt Right breed this hatred with violent rhetoric on a daily basis.  The media and the Hollywood Left have nothing to say about Snoop Dog showing a cadaver with a Trump toe tag or the View expounding hate of Trump every day.  The division between Blacks and Whites is at an all time high with Black Lives Matter breeding concepts of hate and retribution.  The KKK and far right groups like them do the same thing.  The politicians on either side fail us daily by being incapable of compromise for the good of our country.  Lessons learned through the decades are forgotten because political correctness requires us to forget our history either good or bad.  As a child I was taught about the bad in America’s history as well as the good.  I was taught that we fought a war for our freedom from England in the 1700’s and those who fought for the new world were heroes of freedom and those who fought for the British were fighting for their country as well.  I learned we fought a Civil War to end the secession of Southern States from the union and it became a war to end Slavery in the United States.  Those who fought on the Union Side were heroes of Freedom and those who fought on the Confederate side were fighting for their States as well.  Most of those conscripted were non political and had little to do with Slavery and fought more for the sovereignty of their homeland.  I learned that many of our Founding Fathers owned Slaves something inconceivable for me to understand, I learned that Jefferson owned Slaves and took one for his mistress having several children with her.  I cannot condone the fact that he owned any Human Being or that anyone should live under those conditions but it is our countries history and should not be erased but learned from.  I learned that in the beginning we occupied lands that were those of the people we now call Native Americans and took many of these lands by force to satisfy our need for expansion and of course our greed for gold and silver.  I have often wondered at the term Native American as it seems to generalize all of their nations into one group and it does not tell the story of wars between their nations.  It also makes me wonder who the lands were held by before the Native Americans came to the area.  I guess what I’m trying to get across is that we are all in the same soup and if we cannot get it together and become one nation again one of our adversary’s will do the job for us.  Russia has been so much in the news because of the allegations against Trump and the allegations against the Clinton’s.  I really think that the bulk of the hatred and division is the result of Russia’s excellent use of the internet and through false news and innuendo keeps us against each other with the hope that they can just let us fight it out and then take over the spoils. 

An older white mans view of the country

Are we becoming a tribal nation?  The notion that America is not for every citizen is spreading across this land, but why?  For decades we have been told that we white people will have to give deference to black’s in hiring, education and housing.  What has that accomplished?  Our Nation is on the brink of a race war, friends who have been close for years are suddenly being separated by race and politics.  As a student in High School in Seattle I guess I didn’t know we were different, skin color didn’t matter a person was either a good guy or an A-Hole his or her actions made that decision for us.  When I was in the service we worked side by side in everything.  I did notice that a division was starting when in the 70’s and 80’s, blacks began to form separate and isolated friendships rather than join in the American family.  Good friends slowly drifted apart. It came with the rhetoric of the Al Sharpton’s, Jesse Jackson and others who started the victims movement and began to champion the cause of reparations for Slavery.  100% of the people at that time abhorred slavery and many fell into the trap that has made several black leaders rich beyond the norm.  People like Martin Luther King tried to bring pride and self sufficiency to the community and were succeeding in bringing home the value of education and community involvement but when he was killed several tried to take his place and led King’s march in the direction of victimhood rather than equality.  This made them very rich as they blackmailed huge corporations by threatening boycotts and bad publicity if they didn’t pay reparations. 

The government poured money into urban cities for education and assisted living all which became ghettoized and hotbeds of discontent, generations learned to take handouts rather from the government rather than experiencing the joy of successfully achieving self-sufficiency.  Crime flourished in these city’s as the birthrate went up and fatherhood disappeared from the home.  The more baby’s the more money from the government.  Single mom’s became the norm and many just gave up being mothers and became baby factories for the almighty dollar. 

The group’s BLM and the NFL players are complaining about injustice yet did nothing to try to stop crime in these city’s.  Policing an area like this became a death wish for the cops and they in turn allowed it to get worse, in self defense they cut many patrols in these communities.  It didn’t matter if it was a black cop or white they were targeted as the enemy.  I’m sure many police became dehumanized as they dealt with savage attacks on a daily basis.  A good example of the nature of things in these communities is the looting that seems to follow any excuse to riot.  New Orleans, Furguson, Baltimore are just a few examples or the lack of pride developed out of this victim mentality.

When you sit back and understand the difference in success and mentality of the many blacks who have joined the American family rather than fall for the victim, poor me ideology pushed by Sharpton and his ilk it is evident that pride and personal responsibility has been their path to success.  The thing that worry’s me the most is so many of the youth of those who have fought their way out of the ghetto are falling for the rhetoric and starting to go the route of victim rather than grow on the success of their parents.  

Disaster relief

As we watch in horror the events taking place on the Texas & Louisiana Gulf Coast it causes us to remember that tragedy can strike anywhere at any time. Our entire history can be lost in a heartbeat through flood, Earthquake or fire. When terrible things happen it’s nice to know that our friends and neighbors will be there to help pull us through. I just ask that our leaders pull together forgetting party or philosophy and work together to make the ravished area strong again. America has heart and it’s time to prove it and bury the hatchet to move forward to make us strong again. This is going to take generations to recover completely, many administrations, many billions of dollars and I’m not even counting the fact that this is not the last disaster our country will face in the months and years to come. This cannot be done by government alone each of us can help even if it’s just $10 find the charity that you feel good about and give what you can. We here in our town escaped flooding this year by the hard work of our volunteers, local companies, the Water District and government officials. But for the Grace of God, we very well could have been in dire straits ourselves. The lives of these folks in the affected area have changed overnight, from everyday working people to evacuee’s, many with no home to go home to. Some lost family members and everything they have from their memories to their pets. 

Knowing this is not going to be a quick fix situation Jan and I are going to pledge a monthly sum to a local Gulf area relief fund yet to be decided. We would be happy to do the research to find such a facilitator and let others know. There are so many relief programs and many scams designed to just steal money. So far all the government agencies involved are doing the right thing for the people just trying to comfort, feed and clothe but the real test will be the permanent programs required to bring them back as the living, loving Americans they were. God Bless the heart and soul of America and the spirit of our humble beginnings.

Civil War II

The Civil War is being fought again and this time it's against our historical monuments. The statue of Robert E. Lee never made me feel like I wanted to own slaves or disrespect the rights of Blacks. It is our history good or bad. If we continue to erase our historical monuments we will erase the lessons learned by their either good or bad example. I feel this really has nothing to do with the statue's or what they may or may not stand for it is strictly a power move by the left. They didn't win the election, they are not winning the Russian BS so now they have picked what they think is a soft target. It's time to bring an end to all this political Nonsense before we do permanent damage to the soul of our country. The ultra left has to go, the Democratic Party has to find its roots and build themselves once again into the average American Party. As it stands now they have become the home of the far left. We need a viable two party system here in America to balance our diversity and make us whole. The idiots that are running the party now have created nothing but chaos and are driving a wedge into the heart of the United States of America. The same goes for the ultra right like the Nazi's, Skin Heads and any other radical group that wants to destroy what we have all fought for all our lives. God Bless America, we are all races and proud to be the melting pot of the world but don't try to put a divide between us you will fail.

It's time to reflect

Once again the World is threatened with terror as cowards using a rental van plowed through crowds in Barcelona. The free world is at crisis point both at home and abroad. There are those who would take us back to the stone age if allowed and here at home there is a movement to disrupt our elections and our elected officials. America has always been the Land of the Free and home of the Brave no matter who or what party was in power. We now have agents of disorder trying to overthrow our duly elected President and his entire administration. Over my long time here on this planet I have seen disagreement with our government and many of it’s decisions. There will always be a difference of opinion with a free society. What is happening today is far beyond the norm and is being fed by an opposition media and the losing party. This event in Barcelona is no different than the Antifada here in America, it’s driven by hate and will lead to chaos, not unlike the things we are seeing across Europe if not stifled. People who represent this like Michael Moore, groups like the Nazi Party and Black Lives Matter are just mini versions of the radical Islamic terrorist we see today. Look inside yourselves and find the spirit we were founded with to bring civility back to our country.

Where are we as a People

Where are we as a people? We had an election since then we have had every possible scenario proposed by the losing side to upset and derail what the people voted in.  I have lived through Roosevelt, Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama and now Trump.  I have found fault or disagreed with many of the decisions made by these men never have I felt the need to destroy them or their reputations.  America has been established as a Representative Republic with two basic political party’s and has always found ways to pull together to make this country safer when threatened.  We now have a situation where the opposition party has resorted to every possible means to bring down the dully elected government.  The latest is the 25^th amendment which calls for a medical or mental evaluation of the President.  I truly believe these people have lost their minds due to the stress of losing.  They have decapitated him in effigy, they have tried to show him as a Russian plant, they have called him every name in the book from stupid to dimwitted.  It started with the calling of those who supported him Deplorable’s by Hillary Clinton during the election.  One thing these far left zealots have failed to realize is that they are pulling the base of Trump’s followers closer together and in fact would be faced with the largest armed uprising in America’s history should they succeed.  The Civil War would be a minor event compared to the insurrection that would follow what many would consider a Coup.  I am not suggesting anything just making a commonsense judgment on the situation.  The judicial system needs to respond to the law and not make law as they go.  Our laws are made by our Representatives not our Judges or individual members of Congress.  Our laws are based on the Constitution of the United States and supposedly enforced to the letter of the law by the Supreme Court.  When a member of Congress calls constantly for resistance to the legally elected government and they are acting in a treasonous manner like an agent for subversion they should be sanctioned and have charges placed against them.  This goes for either party and members of either House of Representatives.  Our form of government is at stake, there are those who would change our basic freedoms if allowed.  The idea that professors are allowing a minority to stop free speech on campuses and the local governments are standing by as anarchists destroy public and private property should be alarming to every American.  Race relations in this country have become more separated during the last 8 years and race has been used against anyone who dared question the motives of the left.  Crimes against the police have been growing and becoming more and more violent.  Organizations like Black Live Matter are not working to make Black lives better they are causing chaos and driving a wedge between the races that had been improving for decades.   

   

Happy 4th of July

Happy Birthday America!

Of all our holidays celebrated here in this Country the 4^th of July is the party one.  Everyone has been bundled up for Winter for several months, the schools are mostly out and the vacation season is here.  Our Fore Fathers had the courage to emancipate us from the powerful and oppressing government of King George.  They chose courage over safety as by signing the Declaration Of Independence, they were signing their Death Warrants according to the King.  These men didn’t just sign and go back to their offices and allow others to do their fighting they took the leadership role in the Revolution.  They left their powdered wigs and fancy clothes at home and took on the most powerful army in the world and won.

It’s hard for me to say “Happy Memorial Day or Happy Veterans Day” as I know what the intended meaning of those day’s represent.  Happy 4^th of July is a whole different thing.  Our Fore Fathers paid for our freedom from oppression and this is a day to celebrate.  

Health care solutions

Just some thoughts on the Health Care fiasco;
We had a perfectly great Health Care system before Obama and his cronies got involved. The free enterprise system was known through out the the world as the best available. Yes there were holes, yes there were the uninsured but now we have been forced into government programs that are not sustainable. Go back to the free market and let the people decide what coverage they want. There needs to be open state borders to increase the competitive edge. It is impossible to force Insurance companies to cover preexisting without big increases but for a fraction of the cost of government subsidies the government can set up a program for those with preexisting conditions in some area's even utilizing military doctors and base medical facilities. Medicaid has been abused for years by those who just want something for nothing, if the States want to provide healthcare for their people they should be responsible for it and strictly enforce the rules. Those who choose not to cover themselves are free to do so but they must understand their only help will come from charitable organizations not trauma care facilities. A cheaper version of catastrophic coverage should be available with high deductibles utilizing deductible Health Savings Accounts for those people who decline to purchase full coverage. Medicare and Veterans benefits are sacred and have been paid for over the years. There should be no benefits for those here illegally, a fund paid for by a small tax on imports should be set aside to take care of hospitals who are forced to treat illegals. This tax can be offset by the governments of the illegal who uses the facilities. When a citizen of Mexico or any other country who is here either illegally or legally who uses our medical facilities their government would be billed for the service. Non payment would mean an increase of the import tax from their area and immediate deportation of the individual. Not perfect but better than anything the government has done.
