Stepping back in time 7.5 years ago a young inexperienced one term Senator was elected to the office of President with little or no vetting by anyone. It was enough that he was personable, a good orator and he was black. His 1st move was to declare that he was going to close Gitmo and bring the prisoners here for trial in our justice system with all our rights of representation. When he couldn't get Congress to go along he started letting them go, releasing them to countri...es whose ability to watch them was clearly in doubt. He traded 5 of the top Al-Qaida leaders captured on the battle field for 1 deserter without Congressional approval. He instigated and forced through a Democratic House and Senate the Affordable Care Act that has caused many to lose the coverage and Doctors that they had for years. He did so without a single republican vote. He withdrew our troops from Iraq against the recommendations of our Generals causing a vacuum in the region that was soon filled by Isis and other radical groups giving them the territory that was freed with the blood of American Heroes. He has downgraded the military to a point lower than pre WWII and has spent more time trying to change the lifestyle of Americans than paying attention to the economy. Our V.A. system has been a joke to all but those who have depended on it for necessary care. His deal of all deals was the Iranian fiasco. He and Secretary Clinton and then Secretary Kerry formulated a deal to stop them from getting the nuke, in the end everyone was against the deal yet they proceeded to go through with it guarantying them a path to nuclear weapons within 5 years or sooner. We got nothing but shouts of Death to America and $150 Billion payout out of the deal. He ransomed 4 prisoners in Iran for a $400Million dollar all cash payment without approval of Congress.
 
These are but a few of the irrational and illegal programs he has forced through by Presidential edict. Now because he speaks his mind and talks like a real American the press and the elite Washington Establishment is trying to destroy Donald Trump. They say he is hot headed and irrational, how about he's just pissed off and fighting for our America the best way he knows. In the end the American people will have their say in the matter but it is with a press dedicated to destroy rather than report his every move. No one has been vetted more that Donald Trump, his loyalty to the people and his leadership itself makes him much more qualified than the Community Organizer he will replace. Voting for a known liar and incompetent just because she is a woman and has promised free goodies to all is insane. If she couldn't even follow direct orders as to her email and lied about it many times to the American people how do you think she will live up to her promises?

What is gender equality worth?

The world has waited for 240 years for our country to have a woman President and the best we can do is offer a known liar and unscrupulous, power hungry, scandal ridden, retread from the 60’s.  She was disbarred, discredited and caught lying to the parents of the Benghazi four.   You ask what difference does it make Hillary?  You screwed up in Libya causing thousands to die, you totally misread ridiculous Russian restart program allowing the invasion of the Ukraine allowing thousands to be displaced and hundreds to die, you supported the wrong government in Egypt and it took a revolution to clean up your mess again thousands died, your Syrian Red line in the sand approach was tragic causing more thousands to die, you advised the pull out of Iraq allowing Isis to fill the void causing more thousands to die.  You tried to help defeat the one ally we have in the Middle East, Netanyahu by funneling money to his opposition an you lied about your emails to the entire country.  I can think of hundreds of good women that are trustworthy, honest and are true patriots that it would be an honor to vote for and I would be proud doing so.  It will be the end of our system of government that has served America for generations if the people are so party driven as to vote you in as President. What has happened to the party of Truman and Roosevelt?  How have the American people been so corrupted by so few.  We have politicians like Bernie who actually called out Hillary’s crimes and flaws but then he abandoned his movement by giving into the establishment.  Bernie is a Socialist and I surely don’t cry over his demise as I spent 6 years in the Military to standup for our lifestyle and freedom against Communism and Socialism.  Our freedom surely didn’t come from Welfare, free education and big government handout policies.  It came from hard work, men dying to defend our freedom and women who put on their gloves and went to work like Rosie the Riveter.  America has a proud heritage, much too proud to dishonor the office of President for the sake of gender equality by the likes of Hillary.  Always remember the ballot that you have the freedom to cast has the blood of a million defenders on it, never allow it to be misused or abused.

God Bless America and all she stands for.      

Ignorance is rampent

As I listen to the news about the Dallas shootings of Police Officers this morning I am appalled by the ignorance of the situation.  The lack of community leadership in the black community and from our own government is astonishing.  This Black Lives Matter groups rhetoric has become a poison in our society and is calling for anarchy and no one is standing up to them.  I truly believe that there are some isolated instances where Black men have been targeted but in a small minority.  I agree no one should fear the police as it breaks down everything that stands for freedom but the constant barrage of criticism coming from black leaders is poisoning the minds of the youth of the community.  The lack of education, the lack of parental involvement and the lack assimilation into the various communities breeds hatred.  When a child is left to learn from the streets without strong parental guidance they grow up with no personal responsibility nor ambition. A few escape the clutches of the drug culture that has permeated their neighborhoods and go on to productive and rewarding lives but the majority remained trapped in the ghetto that is their world. 

The race bating that comes from many black leaders including this administration only leads to more animosity and less personal responsibility.  It's time for some real soul searching, it's time for each police department to clean up their own ranks and it's time for the black community to join the rest of the world.  Clean out the drugs rather than blame the police, let the process of guilt and innocence play out rather than stream into the streets with hatred.  It's time to be parents and set an example rather than take the easy way through life.  Any child under 17 should be in school getting an education, learning to escape the ghetto and it's influences.  Isolate the bad and force them out of your lives, they only survive by dragging your kids down to their level.  Stop complaining about jobs when you haven't done a single thing to make you qualified for work.  No business is going to pay you because they love you, they pay you because you return a service to them in the form of labor.  Look in the mirror first before you blame the rest of the world for your troubles.  The alternative is a life of continued desperation and very little chance for success in life.  

Learning to live in a cultured society is not giving into the man, it's not becoming an Uncle Tom it is learning to enjoy the American Dream.  It's out there for you if you want it to be.  It's not easy and there will be many fails but the strong will become leaders and the community will follow your example.    

Independence Day 2016

Independence Day is our birthday here in America and is a demonstration of our pride and our freedom.  As Americans whether natural born or naturalized this is our opportunity to show the world that we won’t be intimidated nor will we allow a few radicalized A..h…s to keep us from the freedoms we have earned.  This is a day to celebrate the fact that in the last 240 years we have won our independence from an oppressive King, fought to free and liberate slavery, battled to liberate and free Europe from the Nazi’s, proudly reacted and fought bravely to support our South East Asia Defense Agreements in Korea and Viet Nam.  With very few casualties destroyed the dreaded Iraqi brigades of Sadam Hussein when they invaded a friendly nation. The battles we now face are not of our doing yet our will and our fierce independent spirit will not allow any enemy foreign or domestic, Religious or Atheist to dominate our society.  We as Americans will not be cowed into submission and we surely won’t hesitate to defend our freedom by any means necessary.  A warning to those who would misjudge our ability to come together and destroy any entity that threatens our independence, what makes America great is the fact that we face battle not with the hope of dying to meet our God, we face battle to live and to build a better world for all to live in.  We face battle to make a safe place for our children and loved ones yet to come.  We face battle with a normal fear in our hearts but with the ferocity of a mother lion protecting her pride.  We now have a State to name as our enemy a self-proclaimed Caliphate that wants to take the world back to the 6^th century when this battle began.  Don’t be fooled, you hear that Americans are tired of war but understand we are not too tired to fight for our freedom and to preserve our way of life.   God Bless America and all those who defend her honor.    

Happy Fathers Day

To all the Dads out there who take their responsibility seriously and with love, I hope you have a great Fathers Day.  Dads should be the heroes in the lives of their children as well as their chief supporter in all their endeavors.  The years go by swiftly and one day you wake up and they are gone, off to raise their own.  Make the best out of each day and you will never have regrets.  I wish someone would have given me this advice 50 years ago when I thought my main job was basically financial support for the family.  Thankfully my family is intact and a loving one that cares deeply for each other, a goal any man would love.  Thank you Jan for all your loving support, even when I didn’t always deserve the title of Father of the Year.    

I'm sick of hearing this President

Am I the only one who gets physically sick when I hear this President speak.  For 7 plus years we have heard how wonderful the Muslins are and how it’s the Christians who have caused most of the problems in the world.  If these American Muslins are so peaceful and caring as he keeps telling us let them take the things from the Koran like Sharia Law, hatred for Jews and Christians, death to the Gays and sign a pledge of allegiance to America.  Have them police their Mosques for those who preach Jihad and bring to light those who would do terror upon us.  Prove that they can live in peace with fellow Americans by becoming part of the fabric of our neighborhoods and by loudly rejecting the doctrine of hate that has permeated the Middle East and so much of Europe.  So many of them seem to gather in Ghettos reliving the life they fled rather than enjoying the fruits of America.  They demand things like Sharia Law rather than partner with those that have reached out to help them.  I have absolutely nothing against people from different lands and customs but when they fail to assimilate and allow a faction to live among them who would drag us back to the Stone Age I find it threatening to say the least.  My own Doctor for years here in this little town was from the Middle East and a Muslim, he was one of the best Doctors I have had the pleasure to meet yet one day he told me that he was leaving the area because he was uncomfortable with his Mosque in Reno.  I was disappointed that he would choose to run rather than stand and fight to change what was wrong.  Racial bias has no place in America and in fact those who preach it usually have not found their own peace and serenity.  I mean that from all aspects, every race has their bigots it’s not just whites that can be racists.

The other part of my loathing of this President is his desire to defame our country.  He has as much as stated it in his writing.  He has a distaste for American power considering it colonialism, it showed during his first term apology cruise around the world.  He has done more to stir the fires of racism during his presidency than any other in history.  From Furguson to New York to Baltimore he has sent his emissaries like Sharpton or his flunky ex Attorney General Eric Holder to rally the folks and cause them to believe they were wronged before any proof of misconduct could even be found.  No, I not a fan, I was raised to believe that to get ahead in this world you had to work for it and to treat everyone equally.  I was brought up in a home where everyone was welcome and if they were hungry they were fed.  I was taught it was a privilege to serve our country as were my two brothers.  He has openly called for redistribution of wealth and believes in a welfare system that has all but destroyed so much of the black community.  I am of the belief that being an American is a privilege and I and most of those who come from my era no matter their politics have shown their generosity every time there is a disaster around the world.  He has shown that he believes that this country is populated by a bunch of pompous self-serving greedy white guys who need their comeuppance.  No, sorry but I am not a fan.   

Who does he blame for the massacre in Orlando, hint it’s not the shooter, it’s the republicans because they believe in the 2^nd Amendment.  No matter what side you are on regarding gun control understand this, the Cartels in Mexico are just waiting for a ban on so called assault rifles, they have thousands of them crated and ready to smuggle across the border and believe me, they won’t be selling them to nice people.  If you think there is violence now just wait till only the bad guys have the guns.

A time for action

This morning as I turned the computer on I was shocked at the idea that a fellow human being could bring himself to such extreme hatred and violence.  Then it dawned on me I can’t call these radicals fellow human beings as they don’t even resemble anything in the animal world.  They are from another world one which is filled with hatred and self loathing as its core beliefs.  This war has been going on for thousands of years and will continue as long as we allow it to.  Cringing in fear is not the American way, when confronted with these situations our government seeks gun control a typical liberal solution.  I too believe in gun control, if just one man or woman in that night club had been in control of a gun there would be less dead people today.  Until our leaders show they have the cahonies to face the world situation with a force strong enough to eradicate the radicals we will always be hiding under tables.  They say we are tired of war and no one has the guts to even propose boots on the ground for fear of losing votes, what happens when we tire of these type events will anyone step up to the challenge of protecting our people.  Liberal solutions are what have gotten us into this mess; fighting a war with one arm tied behind our back, (stringent rules of engagement) leaving the battle before it has been won, (Korea, Viet Nam, Iraq and Afghanistan.)  Wars are cruel and deadly they should not be run by politicians seeking votes but men and women who have trained for war and understand it’s a violent procedure not let’s get together for a beer and work out our differences.  God Help us if we don’t make a change in direction soon.    

June 6th, 1944

72 years ago on a cold June 6th morning thousands of American, English and Canadian troops helped their peers become known as greatest generation in history. They waded ashore through heavy fire and mines to eventually get a foothold on the beach. No one can imagine the fear, the apprehension and adrenalin coursing through their veins as the Germans held the high ground over the beach. 2500 brave souls died on the beach that morning and thousands were wounded and evacuat...ed. Our lives today reflect the freedom earned through their defiant courage. Over 10,000 Americans are buried on Normandy's shore and each year although the number is dwindling, survivors in their 90's come to pay tribute to their interned comrades. As Churchill once said of the RAF, "We owe so much to so few." We certainly would not have the freedoms of today without the extreme sacrifice of yesterday.

This week’s trip around the world by our President shows exactly the difference in the Democratic party from years past.  Harry Truman weighed the difference between losing over a million men by attacking the mainland of Japan, these were the loving sons of America families compared to first warning the world of a weapon of total destruction and then destroying our enemy at Hiroshima and Nagasaki.  This the same enemy who had viciously attacked us at Pearl Harbor without warning and exacted a huge toll on American lives as we fought island to island in the Pacific to wrestle control and bring peace to the area.  An enemy who totally refused to capitulate even as their people were being blown out of the cities across Japan by our B29’s.   Compare that to the wartime President today who won’t even put a name on our enemies.  A President who instead of extolling the virtue of the rebuilding of these areas to world class cities, (with a great deal of help from America) chose to talk about the horror of the weapon and that it should have been never been used never used again.  So he would have sacrificed the troops to save our adversaries?  Harry Truman he is not!  The Democratic Party has become the party of capitulation.  Nickoli  Kruschev told us in the 60’s that they the Russians didn’t need to fight us because they were winning the battle for control inside our government and across our country already.  My father God rest his soul was a Democrat all his life yet his last vote here on earth was for Reagan.  He  had no choice as the Democrats were not the party of Truman and Henry Jackson that he knew and respected but had been taken over by a form of Socialism that was trying to buy votes with government services.  This was years ago and the party has moved farther left with each election.  Can you imagine a man of my father’s era responding to this latest edict of Obama about Transgender men or women  using the bathroom or locker room of their choice rather than their gender. 

The men and women who actually built the United States, who are the Blue Collar workers, mostly democrats are being forced to fight for the few remaining jobs left here in the United States after decades of poor judgement by our government have sent our manufacturing base to other countries.  Who have allowed the Middle East to dictate what we pay for oil and gas.  Who have allowed foreigners to buy up our cities and farms without so much as whimper of descent? Who have allowed bureaucracies like the EPA, the IRS, and the BLM to become weapons to be used to quell the outcry of over reach from the people affected.  The Republicans have done little to stop this transgression of government expansion and have meekly crawled into oblivion on the issue of our rights as citizens.  

And you ask how I can vote for Trump, somebody has to straighten out our countries problems and it surely won’t be an insider.  I don’t consider Trump a party member, a true conservative or an independent, To me he is a Populist and has finally found the button to wake up the Silent Majority.  America needs a rousing revamping of our priorities and a new vow by all elected to honor our Constitution and the basic rights it gives us.  God Bless America, we need his blessing to survive.

Are we teaching the real history of America?

Are the children today being taught the realities of WWII or are they too sensitive for the realism of our history?  I was just a lad during the 2^nd World War but it truly had an effect on my upbringing.  My older brother Walter joined the Navy at 17 prior to graduating high school in 1943, he had tried to join the Marines at 16 but they caught him and sent him home. Walter ended up in the South Pacific in the Submarine Service, my Uncle Cliff joined the Sea Bee’s and helped build the airport that the B29’s used to bomb Hiroshima and Nagasaki.  My uncle Bob was in the Army in Italy and fought all the way to Germany. The Larson boy’s neighbors of ours joined the Marines one died at Iwo and the other died at Guadalcanal.  These are just a few of the youngsters that went straight from high school into Hell.  These were different times the world had just come out of the Great Depression to find that the world had created a bigger problem called Hitler and the Nazi’s who were over running Europe with an oppressive regime with little regard for humanity.  At the time the biggest thing on these kids minds was just graduating from high school and impressing the local girls with their athletic prowess.  At the same time America suffered a devastating blow as the Japanese brought the war home with the bombing of Pearl Harbor.  America at the time was really a 2^nd generation country as most of the population had migrated from Europe in the early 20^th Century.  People were proud of their newly acquired citizenship and it showed in their patriotism as they filled the recruiting stations.  War is about as evil a thing as the world could think up and these kids volunteered knowing the danger they faced.

There were heroes in many places as the women of America took on the jobs left by their men.  Everything from sugar to gasoline was being sent to the front for the troops and rationed here at home. Everyone learned to sacrifice.  Families sat by the radio every night to hear the latest news on the war front not having any idea where their loved ones were.  It wasn’t until after the war that the brutality of the combat was comprehended. Many times the men fought days on end without sleep or a break in the action, with death all around them and the deafening noise of the battle fighting not only the enemy  but the weather a constant reminder of their situation.  Everyone knew someone who died in this brutal war and knew many who came home wounded in both body and spirit.  Men went to sea knowing how many ships had been sunk by U Boats & Japanese I boats with all aboard lost.  The stories of bravery and heroism came from all fronts and all branches of service.  Few today could match the tenacity of the men and women of the Greatest Generation.  

 Less than 5 years after the war a new war brought back the fears and terror back to their generation. North Korea had invaded South Korea a country who we had guaranteed to protect in the South East Asia Treaty.  Once again one of my brothers was off to war, a war unlike the previous one where we fought for the very existence of civilization, this was more of a political war fought with boundary’s and restrictive Rules of Engagement.  The men who fought in WWII soon learned that the American military objective had changed and was not at war to win but to hold the enemy.  Our troops and Generals of WWII were dismayed at this lack of enthusiasm for winning by the politicians who were dictating the terms of war and soon were replaced with a new generation of military leaders.  Korea to this day remains a hostile and explosive place.  Maybe our old generals were right to be upset, we seem to now have a philosophy to restrict our military which has cost many lives in the years since WWII.  Korea no gain, Viet Nam no gain, Gulf War back to neutral, Afghanistan and Iraq, brave troops with no backing to win from the political establishment. In each of these wars we have lost thousands of our youth without giving them the opportunity to win. War is truly Hell but to be put in a battle without a winning agenda seems more criminal than Hell.  

It seems we have lost or are losing some of the desire for our freedoms that were so prevalent in the last generation perhaps the fact that many of them had just finally gained those freedoms here in America was the reason.  Have we weakened our future generations by making things too easy for them?  Have we coddled away America’s future?  I know there are many brave lad's and lasses fighting now but with out a political class that has the desire to win we just seem to be in a holding position, let our military do their job it's what they have trained for and they are extremely capable of winning if allowed to do so.  God Bless America and God be with our Heroes at war. 

The Iran cover up

SCARY!!  Where is our country going?  How the rot is silently settling in. This is also the explanation for all the benefits given the Muslims.  Alert all you know.  Guess who's married to John Kerry's daughter?  Did you know that in 2009 the daughter of Secretary of State John Kerry, Dr. Vanessa Bradford Kerry, married an Iranian physician named Dr. Brian Vale Nahed.  No mainstream media reported this. Guess who was the best man at the wedding? Mohammad Javad Zarif.  So who is Mr. Zarif?  Zarif is the current minister of foreign affairs for Iran.  He was Kerry’s chief counterpart in the nuclear deal negotiations just concluded. Meaning Kerry was dealing with his daughter's father-in-law? Cozy??   As   Front Page Magazine pointed out several months ago, the nuclear talks with Iran were a tragic farce, choreographed and orchestrated by Iran. And unfortunately, we are going to have to live with the consequences. When (not "if") the bomb blows.           Can you say "conflict of interest" ..after of course, "breach of national security" ... and "aiding and abetting " one of our principal national enemies?  But then what's new. Even as Muslims make up just 1% of the country, Hillary's top aide is a Muslim, as is Obama's. Is it any wonder Obama wants to bring in thousands of young Muslims as refugees even though his security people say they cannot properly vet them.
