Does this administration have a learning disorder?

Our present administration seems to have a learning disorder when it comes to foreign affairs.  The very idea of trusting Iran to keep any agreement at the risk of the very existence of our chief ally Israel is ludicrous.  Some experts put Iran as close as a month away from developing enough material for a nuclear bomb.  By allowing them the time to continue their program of rapid development we are just playing into their hands.  Kerry is the last one that should be negotiating this as he is so full of self promoting ego that he would never expect someone could out think him let alone out maneuver him.  We have made so many mistakes over the years in the Middle East that it would be laughable if it wasn’t so potentially deadly. 

The first mistake of the 20^th century was Carter throwing the Shaw of Iran under the bus believing that the people of Iran would be better off.  Since that time they have lived under Sharia Law and under the thumb of the religious zealots that he helped put in power.  The Carter administration was absolutely neutered in the ability to respond to the fact that once the Shaw was deposed our embassy staff was held captive in primitive conditions for the rest of his term.  Reagan seem to understand the minds of the radical Mullah’s and just by campaigning with the promise of bringing an end to the problem was able to obtain their release immediately.  We cannot negotiate with radicals in a position of weakness.  They understand one thing, brutality and power.  Being willing to negotiate with them is in their mind exhibiting weakness, allowing them to set any preconditions to the negotiation shows the total lack of understanding who they are dealing with.

If the Iranians come away from this without agreeing to a full capitulation of their nuclear ambition with unabated inspection of all facilities they will have won and our Allies in the Middle East will prepare to defend themselves leaving us open to another war in the area.  I am not talking about a situation like the Iraqi conflict; I’m speaking of a major war involving troops from around the world.  The present administration displayed their ignorance of the Middle East when they began by allowing Mubarak to be deposed and allowing the Muslim Brotherhood to gain a foothold in the region.  The liberals seem to believe that because the President of Egypt was a dictator that the people would be better off without him.  They will never understand that in some regions a strong dictator is our only defense against the rise of radical Islam.  It has been our relationship with Egypt beginning with Sadat and then Mubarak that has helped maintain a semblance of peace in the area for decades.

Yes I believe the liberals do have a learning disorder and it is causing our ally Israel to be forced to prepare for a war that will leave a crater in the Middle East that will take thousands of years to repair.  I pray to God that someone in this administration has the balls to stand up to the President and the Secretary of State and say; YOUR WRONG! Please learn from history, allow us to get through to your Narcissistic ego and realize you are playing with the lives of millions and you are not God. 

Confidence at a new low, racism is reversed

Every day the news brings us either new scandals or the report of more crime.  We are witnessing a new low in both integrity and a rise in savagery.  The integrity is the result of the lack of honesty in our government, I mean in both parties.  Either will create innuendo and lies to defame the other.  The people’s faith in government has dropped to the lowest levels in decades.  We have allowed a few individuals to become entrenched in our Senate and House of Representatives.  This has become a ruling elite that has made laws for the rest of us that they don’t have to follow.  We made the mistake of giving Obama both the House and Senate in his first two years and that resulted in having the Affordable Care Act shoved down our throats.  On top of that we allowed less than 50% of our population to re-elect him.  Are we so ignorant that because the person we wanted didn’t make the primary that many sat home during the election and gave the country to Obama and his not so transparent army of bureaucrats to seal our fate.  We knew exactly who they were after 4 years and yet we allowed this wanna be socialist contingency to continue.  We should have demanded the truth about Benghazi before the election but the majority of our media wouldn’t listen.  We had the Attorney General neck deep in the gun running scandal and the media wouldn’t listen.  We had the IRS officials targeting conservative groups and the media wouldn’t listen.  Several times our President involved himself in local crime issues that should have been left up to the police; remember the incident with Professor Gates and the Cambridge police officer James Crowley.  Obama doesn't seem to be able to control the urge to get involved in anything that looks like white on black issues but says nothing about black on black or black on white crimes.  The Trayvon Martin George Zimmerman case comes to mind.  This has caused a divide in the races that we haven’t seen since the 60’s.

Now we have gangs of black youths coming up behind everyday people on the street and knocking them out leaving them to fall face first on the street.  Women have been attacked in this cowardly manner as well as men, the common denominator is that they are white.  This in my mind is the result of an attitude of entitlement along with a lack of basic decency that is bringing these savages out of the ghetto's.  I'm sure in some way it's my fault and of course I will be called a racist for even suggesting this is a problem.  President Obama why don't you Sharpton and Jackson say and do something about these punks?  I think a march is in order you three cou8ld go shoulder to shoulder through these neighborhoods shouting slogans, you know like the Trayvon marches.  I guess by the lack of response by the three of you that this is not considered to be racist, just a few kids having some misguided fun.

Time to roll up your sleeves Mr. President, this is going to spread and be worse than the roll out of Obama care before it comes to a head. No more coddling, no more making excuses for them, these kids are becoming savages and have to be dealt with promptly.  Maybe it's a good time to bring back the Guardian Angels and this time arm them with whatever means necessary to stop this racist violence.  

Who's worse, Mayor Ford or President Obama?

Who is worse, Toronto's Mayor Ford or our present administration? Ford has admitted his  problem and still has the backing of most of his supporters.  Obama has reduced his support level to only the most liberal and radical of his base and could be responsible for his parties greatest loss of power in history.  As I meet and talk to the regular blue collar folks I hear the same story, one of great disappointment and fear for the future of our country.  Don't get me wrong, he still has many far left delusional followers and much of George Soros's money.  The press has ridiculed and demonized Mayor Ford for admitting drug use but they have given Obama a pass for his years of being stoned.  I'll wager that if asked Mayor Ford would provide all his educational records, something Obama has spent millions protecting the secrecy of his.  (Why?)

We have a conundrum here in America, we have a Constitution which the President has sworn to defend yet we see him trampling all over it.  A President is not supposed to write legislation but has promised to obey the laws set down by Legislators, yet this one assumes he has the right to change laws to fit his presidency. Another conundrum is the fact that we have a President that has systematically replaced top Generals that have a different opinion than himself.  This is a dangerous situation as it leaves a void in our leadership in key places.  Many of those replaced have been top nuclear administrators. Knowing the liberals wish to curtail all nuclear programs this has a strong worry attached to it, do we give up our nuclear capability and leave Russia, China, Korea, Pakistan, India and Israel as the new super powers?  We have already become less of a nuclear power than our chief adversaries China and Russia.  Now with Iran knocking on the door of the nuclear society do you feel it's a good time to show our weakness in this area?    

The doves in our government have one thing in common with the conservative movement and that is; we should never enter a war without a plan to win.  The whole difference is that once in a war the doves want out immediately and most in the conservative movement want out fast but with a total victory.  Wars are never won by political dictate, they are won by superior forces using superior weapons and if used correctly they are the best deterrent for war.  Just like guns protect good people, war is a good deterrent for those who would try to hurt us.

Number 9) Only in America ...could people claim that the government still discriminates against black Americans when they have a black President, a black Attorney General and roughly 20% of the federal workforce is black while only 14% of the population is black, 40+% of all federal entitlements goes to black Americans - 3X the rate that go to whites, 5X the rate that go to Hispanics!

Number 8) Only in America...could they have had the two people most responsible for our tax code, Timothy Geithner (former head of the Treasury Department) and Charles Rangel (who once ran the Ways and Means Committee), BOTH turn out to be tax cheats who are in favor of higher taxes.

Number 7) Only in America...can they have terrorists kill people in the name of Allah and have the media primarily react by fretting that Muslims might be harmed by the backlash.

Number 6) Only in America...would they make people who want to legally become American citizens wait for years in their home countries and pay tens of thousands of dollars for the privilege, while they discuss letting anyone who sneaks into the country illegally just 'magically' become American citizens.

Number 5) Only in America....could the people who believe in balancing the budget and sticking by the country's Constitution be considered "extremists."

Number 4) Only in America...could you need to present a driver's license to cash a check or buy alcohol, but not to vote.

Number 3) Only in America...could people demand the government investigate whether oil companies are gouging the public because the price of gas went up when the return on equity invested in a major U.S. oil company (Marathon Oil) is less than half of a company making tennis shoes (Nike).

Number 2) Only in America....could the government collect more tax dollars from the people than any nation in recorded history, still spend a Trillion dollars more than it collects per year - for
total spending of $7-Million PER MINUTE, and complain that it doesn't have nearly enough money.

And the Number 1) Only in America...could the rich people - who pay 86% of all income taxes - be accused of not paying their "fair share!"

Why was President Barack Obama in such a hurry to get his socialized medicine bill passed? Because he and his cunning circle realize some basic truths:

The American people in their unimaginable kindness and trust voted for a pig in a poke in 2008. (Pig in a poke means: an offering or deal that is foolishly accepted without being examined first. A poke means sack.)

They wanted so much to believe Barack Obama was somehow better and different from other ultra-leftists that they simply took him on faith.

They ignored his anti-white writings in his books.

They ignored his quiet acceptance of hysterical anti-American diatribes by his minister, Jeremiah Wright.

They ignored his refusal to explain years at a time of his life as a student.

They ignored his ultra-left record as a "community organizer," Illinois state legislator, and Senator.

The American people ignored his total zero of an academic record as a student and teacher, his complete lack of scholarship when he was being touted as a scholar.

Now, the American people are starting to wake up to the truth. Barack Obama is a super likeable, super leftist, and not a fan of this country.

The American people have already awakened to the truth that the stimulus bill -- a great idea in theory -- was really an immense bribe to Democrat interest groups, and in no way helped ALL Americans.

The American people already know that Mr. Obama's plan to lower health costs while expanding coverage and bureaucracy is a myth, a promise of something that never was and never can be --"a bureaucracy lowering costs in a free society."Either the costs go up or the free society goes away... an historical truth.

Now, we face a devastating loss of freedom at home in health care. It will be joined by controls on our lives to "protect us" from global warming, itself largely a fraud, if believed to be caused by man. Hillary has also signed on to a Small Firearms Treaty at the U.N.  This is a back door gun control move. If this is approved by the Senate and a 2nd Amendment majority doesn't exist in the Senate now. It will supersede all U.S. Law and the 2nd Amendment. All citizen possession will be eliminated through confiscation. Just Like Great Britain and Australia .

Mr. Obama knows Americans are getting wise and will stop him if he delays at all in taking away our freedoms. There is his urgency and our opportunity. Once freedom is lost, America is lost. Wake up, beloved America .

It is "We the people"......

Veterans unite to save this Union.

Fellow Veterans join me in working to bring the anti liberal groups together, moderates, conservative’s tea party, republicans and libertarians.  I pick fellow veterans for this task because we know the necessity of defeating those who would destroy our way of life.  We have sat back and watched as our one chance, the Republican Party has done its best to blow up before our eyes.  The in fighting has to stop, this goes for all republicans and libertarians who want to get our country back on course.  We all have hot points that we want to see happen but until we defeat the progressives in their own game we won’t have a chance.  They have done a masterful job of dividing and conquering the right and we have let them do it with little opposition with lies and innuendo’s.  It’s time to bury the hatchet and get our MOJO back.  We will have plenty of time to resolve our differences once we regain control of the legislative bodies.  If we continue to disintegrate the progressive liberals will gain such a foothold that we will never be able to overturn their insane ideas.  We don’t need anymore progressive judges appointed by liberals.  I’m not saying to forget your principles, there will be plenty of time to get our point across once our side is re-established in control.  We have lived together many years in this party. Moderates and conservatives and we have brought the country back from the brink many times with solid Reagan style leadership.  The divisions that have divided our party have left us floundering in the wind while Obama and his cohorts have pushed their agenda of big government, socialized medicine and massive debt easily onto our shoulders. 

The real worry I see in all his movements is the purge of generals in high places from our military.  This can lead to not only a weaker force but to a force with allegiance to the President and not the Constitution.  As Veterans we all pledged to protect and defend our Constitution above all, I’m calling in that pledge.  Our bickering and the holding back of votes must stop if we are to win back the Senate let alone keep the House of Representatives.  Blaming the Tea Party as being too radical is playing into their hands.  The Tea Party is a grassroots movement of the people by the people who want to bring honor and patriotism back to our country.  We have lost so many things that give us the ability to bring honor to our forefathers and respect to our patriots, now they would even like to take away our National Anthem.  We gave up God and the basic rules that he gave us to live by and look what’s happened; kids with no respect for life killing other kids, a president that thinks it’s okay to lie to get what he wants and most of all an uneducated mass of voters who regardless of his character have elected him twice.  This has happened because so many have decide to sit out the election because their guy lost the primary.  Wake up before it’s too late; Veterans unite and let’s paint this country red in the next election in honor of the blood so many of our fraternity brothers have shed to keep us free.  Be a voice of healing not a shout of division, there will be plenty of time after we bring a united front to the victory party to decide our final direction.  

Should we be worried about another political diversion?

When Obama pulled our troops out of Iraq saying our job there was finished, he forgot to tell Al-Qaida.  The loss of life there is bordering on 1000 per week and the al-Maliki government is helpless to stop it.  The young men and women who fought and died to bring freedom to the Iraqi people must be looking down on this in horror at what has happened.  No one I know is for war in any way or form, but once we are put in a combative situation it should be our goal to win.  Too many wars have been fought where politicians decided the outcome.  If and when the decision is made to go to war it must be left to the military to bring it to a close with the utmost speed and with the least loss of American lives.  War is a grave and final approach to rectifying a bad situation where no other means are available to solve the problem.  We have fought several wars in my lifetime and only were allowed to win twice.  The outcome of these conflicts were not lost by the men and women who so valiantly fought for our country but by the rules of engagement put upon them by politicians.  Viet Nam is a perfect example of political tampering, we had the firepower to bring it to an end swiftly and with the least amount of casualties but we were held back by the rules of engagement and ended up fighting the enemies war in the rice paddies and jungles.  Note to future and present politicians, don’t send us to war unless you want to come home victorious.   No more political diversions at our military’s expense.

Now the government of Iraq who couldn’t wait for us to get out is begging for help.  As westerners we will never understand the situation or the mindset of the Middle East, we have stained the desert with the blood of our finest and accomplished little.  We have the same outcome ahead of us in Afghanistan, we fight and die and the politicians cry uncle.  In World War II we had to level whole cities in spite the collateral damage to the population, the feeling at the time was if the people feel the pain of war they will force their leaders to capitulate.  It is what our enemies are doing to us now without fear of retaliation knowing our leaders are more worried about getting elected again than winning the war.  We have the technology to wipe out the Taliban and most of Al-Qaida in Iraq and Afghanistan yet we put the burden on the foot soldier knowing full well that he is at a tremendous disadvantage in the mountains and deserts of the Middle East in areas hostile to their presence. 

The NSA has proven we can get into their communications so why put our troops in harm’s way when we can isolate and destroy them with our superior technology.   We have the ability to put unmanned aircraft over wide areas 24/7 armed with all types of weapons to pinpoint their whereabouts and reign down upon them with relentless fire.  Yes there will be civilian casualties it is unavoidable in this war as they hide behind the skirts of women and children but the sooner it’s over the less casualties there will be.  We watched The Soviets in Afghanistan try to win a land war using the same techniques as our guys with the same results.  Why can’t we learn from the mistakes, why do we have to constantly allow organizations like the U.N. to dictate our methods.  If I remember right it was the United States they attacked killing thousands of civilians yet we are held to a different standard.  The Middle East has been fighting this war for hundreds of years and the war hasn’t changed an iota, it’s Muslims vs Christians and Jews.  Sunni’s against Shiites when there are no Christians or Jews to go after.  We have to bring them to a halt out of pure fear or wipe out their ability to wage war completely before we can rest easy by pounding them back to the Stone Age they emerged from.  Iran and all the Middle East is watching how we play this hand, our example will either do little to stop their aggressive attitude or if we show our ability to weed out these militants it just may send their people into the streets to bring down the Radical Mullah’s regime out of fear.   We’ve been nice too long at the expense of thousands of lives, lives of some of the finest among us who just may have gone on to do great things for mankind.    

What would a real President do?

As we stumble through one disgraceful cover up, scandal and miscalculation after another one must wonder where the leadership is.  How can a president be so unaware of his surroundings?  When it’s something in his favor like the strike by the Seals killing Osama Bin Laden he was front and center to take the credit.  When Benghazi was still burning he was on his way to a fundraiser in Las Vegas.  When Fast and furious was front page news he was lost in the dark.  When the IRS scandal was jumping out in the headlines he said he heard about it in the news.  While the NSA was tapping our phones he was out once again campaigning for one thing or another and knew nothing.  I must admit he is a great campaigner, but when no one calls you on what you say and promise, it’s my guess that anyone would be a great campaigner.  All you would have to do is tell everyone what they want to hear.  Kind of sounds like the old chicken in every pot slogan from the depression years.   

Okay now what would a real President do?  Number one he would have called his Secretary of State on the carpet for the lack of security available to the Benghazi outpost, especially when the Ambassador had called for more several times and instead of increasing the security they decreased it.   A real president  would have made wholesale changes in the State Department from the top down.  This was outrageous and someone was responsible for denying their request.  A real leader would have come out immediately with the truth about the attack and not BS the public about a video being responsible.  He would have called in air support immediately upon hearing about it even if it was just to buzz the compound and commit to a few strafing runs on the yard. They were watching real time video of the event.  A contingent of Marines would have landed within hours followed by Sea Bees to reclaim our facility and show the enemy that you don’t mess with American might. 

Let’s go right back to the beginning for an example;  A real president would have realized that if you push an unpopular law through in the middle of the night it was bound to cause you problems.  He would have spent the better part of his first term selling the program to the people instead of having his lame duck congress push it through without bipartisan support.  A good president would have realized that his duty is to the people of America not his own ideology.  I know there is no smoking gun yet, but I am almost certain that eventually it will come out that his hand has been in every scandal.  His legacy will be that of the most corrupt administration in modern history.  It is a shame because it could have been so different, so many were thrilled with the fact that a man of color had been duly elected to the highest office in the land and now it may take a generation for it to happen again.    

Lesson to us all; when we hire someone to do a job check their references.  In the case of Obama the public was so enamored with his charisma and his charming smile that they forgot to look in his closet.  The media was totally complicit in the lack of vetting and should be considered as guilty as the democratic party for nominating him.  What has he accomplished?  Are we safer, are we better off financially,are we more confident in what was once our world class medical industry as we were in 2008?  Anyone who is grounded in fact and not an idiolog will have to admit we are not better off, and in fact we are in a very dangerous place in the history of our country. 

A great deal of the blame goes to those who chose to sit home and not vote in the last election just because their guy didn't win the primary.  I wasn't happy with the choice I was given either but I still voted knowing that the latter was still much better than the one we had.

The big zero

The legacy of a loser, as our President enters his 6th year in office the score for his administration has hit a new low.  On a scale of 1 to 10 his score is a flat zero.  How can I rate it you ask, first of all his first promise was to close Gitmo score 0.  His second promise was to be the most transparent administration in history another 0.  He appointed Van Jones a known Communist as one of his czar's, 0.  He promised he'd reduce the debt by 50% whoops another 0.  For weeks after the Benghazi attacks he was still touting the video as blame for the deaths of 4 Americans, Ho Hum, 0.  His appointee to the IRS took the 5th rather than testify leaving us to believe she was covering up for the President or his staff, did he fire her, nope she retired with full benefits, another 0.  When asked about fast and furious the gun running program by the ATF, his chief legal officer the Attorney General said he didn't know anything about it, was he chastised for it, of course not, holy smoke another 0.  Now for the biggie; The signature program of the administration, Obama Care, he promised that if you had a plan you liked you could keep it, if you had a doctor you liked you could keep your relationship with him or her.  Both flat out lies and they knew it months ago, I would definitely give that one a huge 0.  The website that we the people have spent hundreds of millions on couldn't keep up with 6 people on the opening day, oh my another 0.  I have only scratched the surface on his failures and out of respect for the office I will refrain from adding more to this score sheet.

A letter to Progressive Liberals

I’m writing this letter to those who still think that the Affordable Care Plan (Obama Care) is good for America.  I guess it depends on what America you want, the free America we have had for generations or the more socialist America that the progressives are trying to shove down our throats.  Please tell me how you can continue to defend the lies that have been coming from the President and his devotees.  I would like to understand what hold this charlatan has on so many people.  I can somewhat understand the poorer blacks as they have so much invested in the politician.  If he fails, sadly it may take generations before another person of color would be considered.  What I don’t understand is the basic democrat black or white, the hard worker that has never asked for a hand out or even a hand up.  How can you feel good about your vote in the last election?  I was raised a democrat by longtime blue collar democrats but as the far left took hold I became disenchanted with the direction of the party and bolted.  Though my family were all democrats they were Americans first and many fought for the very freedoms that these far left loons are using to desecrate our system. 

Obama Care is just a ruse to get to a one payer system, they would like everyone to be on Medi-Care, the easiest way to control the population is with socialized medicine.  They control what Doctor you can have, what services you will be offered and how much the doctor will be paid.  We have already seen the result of the cronyism that has cost the tax payers billions.  Now we learn that Michelle went to school with the owner of one of the major companies that built the OBC website.  Another bunch of billions down the tube and it doesn’t work.  I think the cost of the fix that they are trying to make should be paid exclusively by the companies who built it wrong in the first place, surely not the taxpayers.   It will surely be in the billions before it’s up and running.

Those who are losing their health plans need to understand that only in a few cases is it the fault of the insurance companies, in most cases if you read the regulations that have been dictated from above it is because so many new things have been put into the mandatory care section.  Most of these are things you opted out of when you chose your plan in the first place.  For example not everyone needs Pre-Natal or Pediatric coverage.  By adding these things into the mandatory program they effectively eliminated 20 to 30 million plans and are blaming the insurance companies for the problem.  You may be able to live with the Benghazi tragedy, the IRS fiasco or even the Fast and Furious cover up, but can you stand up and tell me that you are happy with their lying about and the manipulation of our healthcare system?  Our kids and their kids will never know the comfort of having a family doctor that they can call a friend.  They will be waiting months rather than days for a visit to a specialist and heaven help them if they need a new knee or hip.

What on earth were they thinking

What in the World were they thinking?  It was estimated that 30 million people were without medical coverage when all this started.  That’s just 10% of the population of the country.  That includes the 10% healthy young who really won’t purchase medical insurance normally because they feel it’s just throwing money away.  It includes 8% who have pre existing problems and have not been able to get coverage.  Now it is estimated in the end that there will be approximately 15 million who will be left without coverage when this is all over and will just pay the fine.  They could have designed a program just to assist the medically challenged that couldn’t buy coverage and left the rest of us alone.  Now we have millions who are not able to keep their doctors or their coverage and they are being cancelled.  The reason is the government has mandated certain coverage’s including things like pre natal care and pediatric dental to name just a few.  Insurance companies are not going to cover this for the same price nor in many cases is it needed.  Some companies were able to make the changes but were forced to increase the rates substantially to do so, others were not able to underwrite the additional coverage and were forced to cancel. 

If you listen to the administration the spin is against everyone and anything but what is real.  They are blaming the insurance companies, the republicans and anyone else who is against the program.  Thank God the website was so poorly put together to afford us the opportunity to delay this colossal disaster for a while.  Mrs. Pelosi said we had to pass it to read, okay we read it and we’re not happy with it.  The whole thing has to be scrapped and redesigned to work within our system of capitalism with free markets deciding the outcome.  Not one of the politicians involved in this fiasco can hold a candle to our founding fathers yet they think in their narcissistic self appointed righteousness that they are smarter than those who designed our system of government. 

America was founded on the concept of a free market place.  The idea that we are entitled to healthcare, welfare, section 8 housing, free phones, food stamps and free school lunches are progressive idea’s brought to us in the 20^th and 21^st century.  I didn’t even mention the idea of years of unemployment we are paying for.  Don’t get me wrong we need a safety net that will protect those who have a short term problem, what we don’t need is people using the system as a way of life. If you are a lifer on welfare no matter what I say will change your mind, you are a user and part of the problem.  The people of the United States will eventually wake up to our failing power and prestige and when they do it will be Hell to pay for those who would try to destroy our system of government and way of life.  I predict that just like the last far left President, Jimmy Carter who exited in embarrassment so will this one.  It may take years to repair the damage his reign has caused but we will bring our nation back and his legacy will be wiped from our history like a bad dream. 

Try listening to the people

Just an idea regarding the constant deadlock in the House and Senate. Please listen up both Conservatives and Liberals.  We as your constituents are really sick and tired of you playing Russian Roulette with our economy and our country.  You are grown men and women yet you go about your business like a bunch of 12 year olds.  Conservatives, which I consider myself one, you have to have a plan to replace the things you don’t like and liberals open your minds to the will of the people.  Take Obama care, it’s the law but that doesn’t mean that it can’t change for the better.  Find the parts that you want to change and put together a panel of doctors, hospital administrators and insurance company representatives and find common ground keeping politics out of the program.  Look for ways to modify not just break the law.  Things like doing away with the mandate of registration where all the info is in a government data base, I think we all know the danger for the people in that.  Do away and replace the concept with something both sides can agree to.  Aiming at defunding is just another road to deadlock.  Leave the things like pre existing in but with a Federal program to aid insurance providers in cases like this so that the cost is not factored into those who are not sick.  Allow people to have their own policies that are based on personal ability to pay and designed to give the individual maximum coverage.  Competition among employers will guaranty coverage for employees.  Make it a law that everyone who works for the company gets offered the same deal no special programs that exclude the lower echelon of workers.  If someone wants to buy a supplement with their own money let them. 

People who decide they don’t want medical insurance should be required to set up personal coverage programs through tax free medical savings plans.  Should they exceed their coverage they will either be forced to pay or if the government has to pay the provider the persons IRS account would be attached until paid.  Those who are welfare recipients would be put into a category where all special programs would be put through the same account.  Aid to children, welfare, food stamps, phones, section 8 housing etc. would all be paid to one social security number and not by individual agencies, this would reduce the chance of fraud and duplication.  It would also provide a look at the total dollar amount being spent compared to the national average wages in the area.  A special account in this program would be set up for paying for medical insurance negotiated through a local HMO system.  Doing away with the fraud in all these duplicate programs will pay for the offset.  After 12 months receiving benefits a depreciating allowance will be enforced and only offset by submission of job applications routinely checked by field agents.  The idea is to keep the federal regulators out of the program allowing it to develop as simple as possible. Once again fraud in this area would be punished by mandatory sentencing for the perpetrators.

By monitoring the insurance companies and allowing them to set up a policy cost based on preventive services and patient history we could hold down the cost to the public.  Medicare and social security programs need to be considered and by combining the programs to eliminate duplicated efforts and fraud the cost could be reduced greatly.  Adding 2 years to retirement and eliminating the early retirement program for those under 45 would save billions in future payouts. 

The key to any of these changes is passing a law that sets automatic sentences for those convicted of fraud.  Make the punishment fit the crime. Making one agency responsible will give it a better opportunity to track payments and expenses per individual and by including addresses with social security numbers duplication and fraud will be easier to track.  Field officers will be used to check recipients information and follow up claims.  Child protective services would fall under this agency.
