Where are we as a people? We had an election since then we
have had every possible scenario proposed by the losing side to upset and
derail what the people voted in. I have
lived through Roosevelt, Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Ford,
Carter, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama and now Trump. I have found fault or disagreed with many of
the decisions made by these men never have I felt the need to destroy them or
their reputations. America has been
established as a Representative Republic with two basic political party’s and
has always found ways to pull together to make this country safer when
threatened. We now have a situation
where the opposition party has resorted to every possible means to bring down
the dully elected government. The
latest is the 25th amendment which calls for a medical or mental
evaluation of the President. I truly
believe these people have lost their minds due to the stress of losing. They have decapitated him in effigy, they
have tried to show him as a Russian plant, they have called him every name in
the book from stupid to dimwitted. It
started with the calling of those who supported him Deplorable’s by Hillary
Clinton during the election. One thing
these far left zealots have failed to realize is that they are pulling the base
of Trump’s followers closer together and in fact would be faced with the
largest armed uprising in America’s history should they succeed. The Civil War would be a minor event compared
to the insurrection that would follow what many would consider a Coup. I am not suggesting anything just making a
commonsense judgment on the situation.
The judicial system needs to respond to the law and not make law as they
go. Our laws are made by our
Representatives not our Judges or individual members of Congress. Our laws are based on the Constitution of the
United States and supposedly enforced to the letter of the law by the Supreme
Court. When a member of Congress calls constantly
for resistance to the legally elected government and they are acting in a
treasonous manner like an agent for subversion they should be sanctioned and
have charges placed against them. This
goes for either party and members of either House of Representatives. Our form of government is at stake, there are
those who would change our basic freedoms if allowed. The idea that professors are allowing a
minority to stop free speech on campuses and the local governments are standing
by as anarchists destroy public and private property should be alarming to
every American. Race relations in this
country have become more separated during the last 8 years and race has been
used against anyone who dared question the motives of the left. Crimes against the police have been growing
and becoming more and more violent.
Organizations like Black Live Matter are not working to make Black lives
better they are causing chaos and driving a wedge between the races that had
been improving for decades.

Happy 4th of July
Happy Birthday America!
Of all our holidays celebrated here in this Country the 4th
of July is the party one. Everyone has
been bundled up for Winter for several months, the schools are mostly out and
the vacation season is here. Our Fore
Fathers had the courage to emancipate us from the powerful and oppressing
government of King George. They chose
courage over safety as by signing the Declaration Of Independence, they were
signing their Death Warrants according to the King. These men didn’t just sign and go back to
their offices and allow others to do their fighting they took the leadership
role in the Revolution. They left their
powdered wigs and fancy clothes at home and took on the most powerful army in
the world and won.
It’s hard for me to say “Happy Memorial Day or Happy
Veterans Day” as I know what the intended meaning of those day’s
represent. Happy 4th of July
is a whole different thing. Our Fore
Fathers paid for our freedom from oppression and this is a day to
celebrate.

Health care solutions
Just some thoughts on the Health Care fiasco;
We had a perfectly great Health Care system before Obama and his cronies got involved. The free enterprise system was known through out the the world as the best available. Yes there were holes, yes there were the uninsured but now we have been forced into government programs that are not sustainable. Go back to the free market and let the people decide what coverage they want. There needs to be open state borders to increase the competitive edge. It is impossible to force Insurance companies to cover preexisting without big increases but for a fraction of the cost of government subsidies the government can set up a program for those with preexisting conditions in some area's even utilizing military doctors and base medical facilities. Medicaid has been abused for years by those who just want something for nothing, if the States want to provide healthcare for their people they should be responsible for it and strictly enforce the rules. Those who choose not to cover themselves are free to do so but they must understand their only help will come from charitable organizations not trauma care facilities. A cheaper version of catastrophic coverage should be available with high deductibles utilizing deductible Health Savings Accounts for those people who decline to purchase full coverage. Medicare and Veterans benefits are sacred and have been paid for over the years. There should be no benefits for those here illegally, a fund paid for by a small tax on imports should be set aside to take care of hospitals who are forced to treat illegals. This tax can be offset by the governments of the illegal who uses the facilities. When a citizen of Mexico or any other country who is here either illegally or legally who uses our medical facilities their government would be billed for the service. Non payment would mean an increase of the import tax from their area and immediate deportation of the individual. Not perfect but better than anything the government has done.

Memorial Day 2017
My tribute
to Memorial Day May 29th, 2017
The date is
June 4th 1944, 18 year old Johnny is in England taking a few minutes
from a busy training schedule to write to his sweetheart Karen in Seattle. He told her that his greatest dream is to
build a house for them to raise their family in and that her love is what gives
him the courage to face whatever may come.
He had very little time so he asked her to give his Mom a big hug and
tell her not to worry, the war will be over soon and I’ll be home to help plan
their wedding. As he just settled into
writing he heard the whistle blow that meant he had to muster. A quick goodbye and he sealed his letter with
a kiss dropping it in the post as he ran to muster.
All
afternoon of the 4th they gathered their equipment, held prayer
sessions and prepared to board the vessels that would take them across to
France and the German Army. The 5th
was full of activity, they started to go and were cancelled because of the
change in the weather. Nerves were on
edge and everyone was in deep thought as they knew they were about to face Hell
on Earth.
The night of
the 5th they finally got the green light to go, the mood was a
solemn one as they made their way across the channel and soon they could hear
and see the massive bombardment from the Navy on the shore they were about land
on. Surely no one could survive such
chaos, between the bombardment from the sea and the air, his buddies were
talking about actually walking ashore.
In the very
early hours of the 6th the call came to man the boats, Johnny’s was
in the third wave and as they were traversing the waves they saw the first of
the casualties being brought back. As
they neared the shore the boat next to his exploded and was gone in seconds
taking all aboard down with her. The
thought of walking ashore brought a nervous laugh from his lips. They felt a jolt as the landing craft hit one
of the structures the Germans had installed on the beach. The ramp came down with a splash and they
found themselves in neck deep water with bullets splashing all around
them. The 80 pounds of equipment made
the effort to survive double hard. As he
was fighting to keep his head above water and his carbine held high he saw the
bodies of those who never made the beach floating face down in the surf. When he finally hit dry land he found it hard
to run on as his boots dug into the loose sand.
When he made the cover of the cliffs above him he realized that he was
one of only three survivors from his Landing Craft.
As the day
progressed things were getting desperate, they were really pinned down hardly
able to get a shot off at the enemy above.
They were running out of water and were totally exhausted after the
fight just to make it to the cliffs.
Finally they breached the cliffs and got a foothold on the ridge above
to protect them for the climb up.
Not many men
today are still here that made that terrifying climb, many never made it to the
beach and even more died on those sands that were dyed red with American
blood. Their remains are buried in
France but their spirit is still alive in America. Memorial Day is special because it honors
those who actually paid for our freedom.
Whether it was on a lonely sea when their ship was blown out from under
them, in a burning bomber over Germany or on the sands of Tunisia or the swamps
of Viet Nam these men were just like Johnny, they had dreams and aspirations
for the future, they had sweethearts, wives and mothers who meant the world to
them. Many had yet to see their 20th
birthday. This is why we cherish and celebrate
Memorial Day and why it is so important that we take just a minute to give
thanks to those whose courage made our lives possible. Johnny died of his wounds at just 19 during
the Battle of the Bulge in the freezing cold and never made it to his wedding.
Memorial Day
is more than an extra day off and a picnic, it’s a day to praise and give
thanks to those heroes who gave their lives in order that we may live ours in
freedom.

Time to come together and stop the political corruption
Sorry but I'm ranting again, I just want the truth and a cooperation between the party's to make our country prosper once again. False statements should have a consequence for both the Republicans and the Democrats. The divide shown at the Presidents speech before the joint session is just an example of the stupidly and childishness of our so called leaders on both sides of the aisle. It's time to demand fair and honest representation and for once listen to each other and work out compromise to make our country prosperous once again.
It’s a time to come together for all Americans. Our goal should be truth in government and cooperation between party’s for the good of Americans. If it is discovered that former President Obama or his organization are responsible for the spread of false and undocumented info that is designed to disrupt or cause fracture in the Trump Presidency without evidence they should be sanctioned and stripped of their retirement and all opportunity to serve in public life. Lies in politics are becoming standard operating procedure in both parties. If the false info cause the people of the United States both time and money for the investigation and it proves false the perpetrators of the information should be held in contempt and stripped of all power.
On the other hand if the info proves to be correct the perpetrators in the Trump Administration should also be stripped of their power and ability to serve in public office. There should be consequences for liars and they should be harsh. The American public deserves only the best representation possible.
People outside the government that attempt to falsely accuse and cause damage should also be held in contempt and be considered an enemy of the United States. I also believe that any false or misleading information that is forthcoming from members of the press that is proven to be false or manufactured news should cause the loss of licensing for the period of several months. Heavy penalties in all cases of fraud and misrepresentation are necessary to clean up our government.
Organizations such as Move On Dot Org. should also be responsible and held liable for spreading false and inflammatory fake news and the perpetrators held responsible, many of these false and misleading fake news items have led to the demise of very good people. It has also caused many to avoid Public Service at all, only we Americans suffer for this loss of good people. Damages cause or perpetrated by outside organizations that lead to riot or looting should be at the expense of the persons spreading or abetting these individual rioters.
Don't take a party stand on this take an American stand, we deserve no less.

You call yourseves never Trump, what are you really?
You call yourselves never Trumper's but what are you really? You obstruct everything regardless of the eventual outcome. The people of The United States conducted an election and it was exactly as our Founding Fathers created it. The reason for the Electoral College is obvious as without it 3 or 4 states would control our entire country. The method has been used since the beginning of our country and has been successful in electing our Presidents since then. Now that tho...se who are traditionalists in America have finally shaken off the mantel of political parties and voiced their opinion it seems to have upset you. I'll tell you this, I have been upset for years with some of the things that our government of both parties have done but I have never felt the urge to break windows and create havoc in the streets. I am an American and to be that it is imperative that I understand our laws as Congress and the Constitution proclaims them. It is not your job or my job to make laws it is our duty as citizens to understand and obey them. This is what makes the Union run successfully benefitting all its citizens equally.
As one of those what I will call Silent Fly over Americans it offends me greatly to see the chaos and destruction of our system and only makes my resolve greater to see my traditional values enforced. So if I am any example of today's American and I believe I am, keep it up and it will be generations before you ever attain power in this country again.

Hate will never accomplish anything
Hate is overwhelming to me, I see what is supposed to be the peaceful transition of the Presidency being turned into a festival of hate mongering. I have always believed in equal pay based on the job for women and of course courteous treatment of all. The ladies in our company are paid commiserate with their abilities and experience. I understand that portion of the marches across the country today. I do not understand why anyone without a bit of proof would think that the new President is out to get them. He is not going to ban abortion, he's not going to ban Gay's or Transgender people. He is trying to take us into a period of commonsense and be rid of all the politically correct regulations that have dulled our senses and slowed our ability to grow. The opposition is out to block every move rather than try to understand the reasoning behind the issues. I see and understand the legitimate protests by some but when led by the actions of people like the Hollywood elites or Michael Moore you lose me. Just because they have the ability to act or sing gives them no authority to demand laws and those who follow them look weak and manipulable. Using what was said 10 years ago by Trump as a fear promoter by people who show their ass on stage and drop the F bomb in every other sentence like Miley Cirus is a joke. It's time to stand back and allow actions to speak for the new administration then if you don't agree protest, but do so based on fact not hearsay.

Today's events
The idea that there is anything American about the protests in Washington today is ridiculous. Number one the inauguration is not about any man or ideal, it is about the peaceful transition of power here in America. The violence seen by the whole world was committed by no more than 250 Anarchists who should all be on trial for treason. If it were up to me the 200 and some arrested today would be in jail until all the damage was paid for. Hoping for commonsense to prevail, we have had a transfer of power, now give the new regime a chance to prove itself. God Bless America

Stand with Israel
Never did I think in my lifetime the United States would
turn its back on Israel. The Obama
Administration purposely abstained during a vote in the United Nations Security
Council that basically destroyed all chance for peace between The Palestinians
and Israel. The same U.N. Security
Council that ignores the genocide in Syria and the constant murders and harassment
brought on Israel by the Hamas in the West Bank. The same U.N. that says nothing about the
civil rights violation in China or the horror going on Allepo has now chosen to
attack our only ally in the Middle East and we help stab them in the back. Call on President Elect Trump to get the U.S.
out of the United Nations, it’s a fools mission with no mission other than to
collect our money and works against our interests. Obama has allowed his personal hatred for
Israel to jade his judgment and has gone against the interests of the United
States. It’s time for his reign as wanna
be King to end. Israel claims to have
proof the Administration actively worked to push this and the Obama
Administration is claiming it had nothing to do with it. Understanding the reach of Israeli security
and the straight talking government of Israel I tend to believe they have the
proof that they claim. If it turns out to be fact Obama should leave in
disgrace and go visit the money he sent to Iran and never show his face again,
I’m sure Kerry’s relatives in Iran would welcome him with open arms. Oh wait they already got our money they’d probably
just arrest him and try to get us to ransom him back. (Fat Chance of that)
Stand with Israel!

Christmas wish
My Christmas Wish
Over the years I've written many Christmas messages, some in tragic times, others in good times. This year I find myself so grateful for so many things, yet there is a pall that hangs over our heads in the form of the War on Terror. I have lived long enough that I remember WWII, the rationing and the heartbreak of having my oldest brother Walter serving in the Silent Service, (Subs) in the Pacific Theatre. I can still see my next brother Rolland leaving for Korea in the 50's and the toll it took on my family. My family was the perfect American family, 3 sons all spaced the right amount of years to keep the military stocked with Lindberg's. During all these times even though we may have been separated by oceans my family stayed close and celebrated as if we were still together. We all could picture my Dad working on the Christmas tree, never satisfied, drilling holes and moving branches to make it the prettiest tree ever. My Mother baking her goodies and decorating for weeks. I can close my eyes today and still smell the cookies and pumpkin bread that filled the house during those times. Don't get me wrong, this was not a wealthy family, Mom and Dad both worked and struggled to make ends meet. It didn't take a lot of money to make a great Christmas back then. We got just as much or more satisfaction out of something homemade as a store bought gift. We, as I have said, were not wealthy but we were rich in so many ways. All through the holidays our house was like a fairy tale, Christmas music was playing, family and friends stopping in to savor mom's goodies and dad's homemade eggnog and countless hours of old stories and adventures of day's past. Getting the chance to play with cousins that we seldom got to see.
As I write these memories I am still able to see what Christmas was all about, sadly it has become so commercialized that kids today will never have those memories. Oh they will remember the gifts of some but not who gave them to them. They will play with them until they break or they tire of them and look for the next one. Will they remember taking part in the Sunday School Christmas pageant? Will they cherish their Christmas memories or will they simply just be another day in their lives? Yes we can blame all types of things and conditions for the change that has come over America & Christmas but none are really at fault. We have faced terror before when we knew people were actually trying to kill our loved ones, we have been broke before yet we knew the days would improve. The real culprit for the change in my mind is how we have learned to ignore God and the spiritual side of these holidays. So many of my memories of Christmas past involve the love and respect shown by all. My Christmas wish would be that we could reverse time for just one day to show the world, especially the children, what the true meaning of Christmas is.
We wish you a Merry Christmas and a wonderful new year.

75 years ago December 7th, 1941
75 years ago on December 7th, 1941 the Japanese
attacked military bases on the Island of Oahu.
We here mostly about Pearl Harbor but there was and still is a Marine
base in Kaneohe that was hit also. The
next day they hit the Philippines and strafed Midway Island. I had a friend now gone who was in the
Marines on Midway that day and for a 19 year old kid it was quite an awakening
to the world of war. As the word spread across
this nation, men filled the recruiting stations volunteering for all branches
of the military. We fortunately have had
over the years many Hawaiian friends who were thrust into the conflict that
day. Their tales of the event are
personal to them, they knew their lives would never be the same as they watched
the onslaught and dodged friendly fire as our men fired on the attacking
planes. I wonder today as I watch the
news of universities that are putting safe areas for students who are aghast at
the election results if we could actually mount a counter attack should a similar
event happen. 911 was a precursor to
much grander plans the Islamic Radicals have in mind. The fact that most of our leaders in this
country have come from these same universities is rather frightening. They called my father and my older brother’s
generation the Greatest Generation with good cause. These people lived through the Great
Depression, WWI and the Great Dust Bowl only to find themselves locked in a war
that threatened our very existence. They
did what the world thought was unimaginable they defeated not only the most
well equipped and trained army in existence in Europe but the Japanese in the
Pacific.
Our prayers this day are for our country that we may find in
this generation a spirit not yet evident that will lead the world with the
strength and fortitude of our fathers.
As I witness the anarchy of the last few weeks and hear their claim that
our country is a pariah in the world as they smash businesses and disrupt
traffic I wonder what our fathers would say and do confronted with these cowardly
malcontents with their hidden faces. I
wonder if any one of them would have the courage to storm the beach at Normandy
or climb Mount Surabachi in the face of a dug in enemy. I wouldn’t want to bet my life on it. People have said that they’re just kids and
they will grow out of it but it’s not kids teaching this Anti American
rhetoric, it is adult professors and a very disgusting media that is promoting
this diatribe. We have grandchildren and
great grandchildren who soon will be attending these universities and colleges
and we pray we have given them the bases for an understanding that they will
see through this façade that calls itself higher learning and use their time to
actually learn our history and not be brain washed by the 60’s hippies who are
now in charge of the Universities.
