Contemplating 2021

 Dear Friends,

As I sit here contemplating this new year ahead I am perplexed, I don’t understand what they call the “New Normal” nor do I accept the concept. To me our life here in America has always been wonderful even when things were really tough. I can remember several times when Jan and I ate Oatmeal or made what we jokingly called Nail Head soup so our kids could have food in their bellies, yet we didn’t blame anyone nor did we burn down other people’s property. We just worked harder and busted out of the hole we were in. When there were no jobs in 1963 and had to sell our house or lose it, I made jobs by clearing other people’s property and building fences and dog kennels. That’s what you did when you were down and out. I remember my Dad telling me when I was a boy how much better you feel when you earn a dollar, rather than have it given to you and you know he was right.

I know there are some very destitute people out there right now because of the Shut Down in some States. I know it’s no fault of their own and it will take more than $600 or a little more unemployment funds to bail them out of their situation. America needs some type of National work program rather than a handout. Now is the time to take that Bull Shit relief program designed to help other countries and Leftist programs and spending all $900 Billion on Infrastructure programs making jobs not welfare recipients from our laid off workforce. These moneys should go to small & medium size companies who hire locals not supersized Mega National Corporations whose Lobbyist pour money into Washington Politicians pockets.

Life in what is called the “New Normal” is not life as we know it in the United States of America. We don’t want Big Brother either feeding us or telling us what’s good for us. Leave us to our own resources and we’ll find the way back to life as we knew it. The way this so called Pandemic has been used for political gain is really the worse thing that has come out of mouths and minds of corrupt political Officials in my life. Granted, public health is extremely important but it has always been handled with suggestions not orders from politician’s. We are a sophisticated Society very able to cope, just not good at taking orders from people we don’t have any respect for. When the politicians made this into a political war between party’s they lost the American patriot. The American Patriot is a guy or girl who goes to work each day to support his lifestyle and his family. They are the retired that worked their entire lives to try to enjoy their so called Golden Years in comfort. They are the Mothers and Fathers who sent their Son’s and Daughters off to war so America would remain the land of the free, they are the Small Business person who for years has paid their employees before taking home their own check. They are the Police and Firemen who risk their lives daily to serve our communities. They are the kids that voluntarily join the Military to protect our very existence. These people aren’t whimp’s that can’t take care of themselves, given a chance they are ready and willing to fight to maintain our American way of life. We are American’s first and love our Country and are not willing to live under the thumb of a corrupt system designed to give power to some but not to the people who built America.
