Who says all kids should go to college?

In today's world with the cost of an education in many cases hitting $60 to 100 thousand dollars it is a debatable question.  When an average graduate comes out of school looking for a career job and is owing thousands of dollars in school loans it becomes a liability.  Jobs for these graduates usually means starting out if they are the lucky ones at a fraction of what is needed to satisfy their debt.   I believe that intern programs working in conjunction with Community Colleges are the answer.  First the student has the opportunity to work in the field of his or her choice and can make a legitimate decision as to whether this is the field they want to spend their working life in.  Secondly it gives the employer a chance to evaluate the student and train them in the way of their company not the general education they would otherwise receive.

In many cases the corporations could supply the Community College with trainers on site one day a
week to allow them to be directly involved in their educational experience.  The major Universities
today  are filled with far left professors who are more interested in ideology than business courses.
The salaries paid to some of these radical professors in many cases far outweighs their value.  They  are protected through a tenure program that has been the cause of many disputes in education.  Tenure in most cases outweigh the educational value to the student .  Two years of practical business courses and  a two year internship with guarantees of future employment by the corporation sounds like a viable solution to the problem.  All this plus they are paid a pre determined wage during the internship by the corporation.  The come out of school with the required education and owe nothing.
